A large part of the population of Bangladesh is women. Women's development is therefore one of the conditions for national development. Equal participation and equity are the constitutional rights of women. It is important to ensure equal participation of women and men in national development, poverty alleviation and establishment of a democratic society. The National Women's Organization is working to establish equality between women and men by increasing women's awareness, developing skills and protecting their rights
